Microsoft Ignite couldn’t have come at a better time.

We’re on the precipice of pushing out not just a new version of our instant recovery software RollBack Rx and Drive Vaccine, but a new website as well, and after spending a week with the best in the biz it’s inspired us to push this thing out as soon as possible.

Speaking of that week – like the Microsoft Ignite show before this in Chicago – we had one IT pro manage to crack RollBack Rx Professional and crash our PC! As we promise to all challengers, he took home an Xbox One. Great job, Jeff!

An attendee of Microsoft Ignite 2016 successfully crashed our system and took home an Xbox One as his prize.

This brings us to our next point – after showing us how he crashed the system we have been able to patch up what he did. This means those who are on our older builds will be vulnerable to this particular method of attack. We highly recommend updating to the most recent build of RollBack Rx, especially when we push out the new v10.5 build in the coming weeks.

If you’re unsure if you’re able to upgrade for free feel free to come to our live chat system at horizondatasys.com and chat with our one of our available agents, or call in toll-free at 1-800-496-0148. We are here in North America ready to chat from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST.

But it wasn’t all business at the trade show this year. As always, Microsoft put on a big celebration, this time in Atlanta’s Centennial Park. Last year the show got a “bit” busy, so this year adjustments were made and instead of directing all into one main area, the park was divided into four different grounds featuring their own games, food, and music.

Putt-putt, ping pong, pool, arcade machines, rock climbing, archery, and the list goes on. A couple of us also took place in a Tug-of-War, although the results we’ll exclude from this blog post. Let’s just say we’ll be encouraging gym use at work.

All in all we had hundreds of attempts made against our PC with RollBack Rx Professional installed and only one winner. That’s continuous data protection. If you want to challenge us, then we will be at SpiceWorld at the end of the month! Feel free to visit our booth while we’re in Austin, Texas, and see if you can take home the sweet Xbox One.
