Horizon DataSys and TechSoup Global announce strategic partnership to help organizations with limited budgets gain access to world-class technologies.
Horizon DataSys, the industry standard in instant PC recovery software, announced today a strategic partnership with TechSoup Global for the provisioning and delivery of its Drive Vaccine and RollBack Rx software to qualified 501(c)3 non-profits and libraries. This partnership will allow TechSoup members to receive donated software as well as steep discounts.

Drive Vaccine simplifies public access computer management by resetting multi-user machines after a user’s session. Thus workstations are always fully-functional and optimally configured for the next user. Drive Vaccine is best thought of as a superior alternative to the discontinued Windows SteadyState.
RollBack Rx is an instant restore software that allows end-users and administrators to quickly restore workstations to any previous state within seconds. RollBack Rx is an indispensable utility to quickly recover from any unintentional error or malicious changes. It’s best seen as an enhanced version ofWindows System Restore (also known as Windows reset and refresh).
“We’re very excited about our partnership with TechSoup to spearhead our philanthropic efforts,” explained Lyle Patel, President of Horizon DataSys. “We understand the challenges faced by budget cuts and staff reductions at many publicly-funded libraries and other non-profits. Our instant restore solutions streamline the process of maintaining the public access PCs at these organizations.”
“With the discontinuation of Microsoft SteadyState, there is an apparent lack of solutions designed forshared computer management for cash-strapped 501(c)3’s. This was the primary reason we created our freeware, Reboot Restore Rx, which is essentially a stripped-down version of our RollBack Rx technology,” adds Sam Sawal, Vice President.
“We’re excited to announce this program that will benefit so many organizations that make public computing more accessible,” said Gayle Samuelson Carpentier, Chief Business Development Officer, at TechSoup Global. “This cooperation between Horizon DataSys and TechSoup is a great fit since their solutions uniquely answer the many requests for efficient management of public access environments across all of the institutions TechSoup serves.” Horizon DataSys hopes to extend its brand-awareness to this non-profit and educational market space. In return, TechSoup users can obtain better, newer technology to protect their shared computers.
