The company has doubled its office space in order to satisfy the great demand for its line of products. A dramatic growth in sales following the release of a freeware product customized for the Windows XP operating system triggered this action.
Horizon Datasys Corporation, the premier provider of instant recovery software for PCs, announces it is expanding its premises to meet the demands of its growing user base. The move will enable the company to have access to a new office space double the size of the one it had previously.
The expansion is in part due to the large success of a new addition to the company’s line of products: Rollback XP, a comprehensive system restore software for Windows XP. The freeware, created in light of the recent Windows XP lockdown, was widely received by users of this operating system, whom Microsoft stopped supporting this past April. The additional office space will provide bigger and better facilities for the company’s current employees as well as to accommodate additional growth.
The company has made a series of changes in the past, all with the end-result of easing communication with clients. “As our product line expanded, we felt the need to get a new space that would be able to handle our volume of work. Obtaining a bigger location seemed like a natural step ahead,” says Lyle Patel, President and CEO of Horizon DataSys. “This change of environment is just another one of the many changes we have implemented to handle our customers’ needs,” says Patel. Changes in the past include offering extended hours of customer support on weekdays, as well as getting localized international calling numbers.
Earlier this year, the company’s freeware alternative to Windows SteadyState, Reboot Restore Rx, was one of the recipients of the 2013 Award of Excellence by the Tech & Learning magazine, a prestigious program with over 30 years of experience in recognizing education technology products. In order to be considered for this award, products must pass a rigorous screening process in where they are evaluated by a series of criteria, such as: quality and effectiveness, ease of use, and suitability for use in an educational environment.
Likewise, the company has been at the forefront of the issues regarding desktop security software, an area of concern for businesses and users akin, which has led to the intervention of the US Department of Justice and FBI. Rollback Rx, the company’s flagship product has proven to remove the Cryptolocker ransomware, a malicious Trojan that encrypts user’s computers and demand a payment in exchange for one’s data.
