Using the exemption drive
One of the features of Drive Vaccine PC Restore Plus is the exemption drive. It allows you to make a part of the computer consistent across restore events. You can safely store your data on the exemption drive without worrying that they will be destroyed during a restore.
If you want to use an exemption drive, you must configure it during the installation process. For details refer to the installation section of this manual.
From within Windows, the exemption drive will appear as a new disk drive. You can put your files onto that drive to prevent a restore from deleting them. Just use the drive as you would use a normal hard disk drive. All normal file operations are supported and should be transparent to the user.
When using Drive Vaccine PC Restore Plus please consider the security implications of letting the user permanently store data on the computer. Also, please be aware of the fact that the exemption drive can not be restored, any changes done to the data located on the exemption drive are permanent.
When uninstalling Drive Vaccine PC Restore Plus you must empty the exemption drive. One of the last steps of the uninstallation process is to wipe the exemption drive and all data on it at that point will be lost.
