Deployment

There are many ways you can deploy Drive Vaccine PC Restore Plus to many computers.

• Manual installation - manually installing Drive Vaccine PC Restore Plus to multiple computers.
• Scripted/Unattended installation - installing Drive Vaccine PC Restore Plus with a help of a script file.
• Network installation - installing Drive Vaccine PC Restore Plus over a network.
• Disk image installation - installing Drive Vaccine PC Restore Plus by flashing a disk image onto multiple computers.

Network installation.

You can install Drive Vaccine PC Restore Plus using a network share. You need to create a configuration file ("SETUP.CFG") using Advanced Setup Configuration Wizard utility included in the installation files. Host the installation program and the configuration file on your server. Configure the share to be accessible from all the workstations. As a final step run the installation program located on the share from each workstation. When prompted for a type of installation, select Advanced Installation. Follow the remaining prompts of the installation program until the software is installed.

Scripted/Unattended installation

If you want to install Drive Vaccine PC Restore Plus using a script, you can do that by calling the Setup program as "Setup.exe /s" As above, you need to provide the configuration file for this to work. This will run the installation program without you needing to do anything on the target workstation, everything can be managed remotely.

Disk image installation

If you want to install Drive Vaccine PC Restore Plus using disk images, you need to be aware that some image oriented solutions might not be able to copy an image with Drive Vaccine PC Restore Plus already installed. You need to generate the configuration file, as in the steps above and run the "SetAutoSetup.exe" utility provided by Horizon DataSys. At this point you can create the disk image. To create the image you must boot the computer with a floppy disk or a Live CD of some kind. Your disk images will install Drive Vaccine PC Restore Plus after the first boot.
